US pilot who dismissed Pearl Harbor reports dies at 96
“Don’t worry about it”, said Kermit Tyler, who thought the big blip on the radar screen on Dec. 7, 1941, was a fleet of American B-17 bombers due in from the mainland. Tyler, who was ultimately cleared of wrongdoing and was content he did all he could that morning, has has died at the age of 96.
